Can Texas beat Oklahoma State on the road?

Can Alabama hold off LSU, beat Auburn on the road then win the SEC championship against Florida?

Will Florida hold off Georgia, pummel South Carolina on the road, then win the SEC championship against Alabama? Also, which Florida State will show up the last game of the regular season?

Can Iowa Beat Ohio State on the road?

Can Cincy hold off West Virginia then close the deal against Pitt on the road?

Can TCU hold off Utah at home?

Can anyone beat Boise State? Idaho? Nevada?

Or are there a few unlikely Davids hiding in the mix that will bump off some of these teams?

I bet there will be at least one, but I'm awful at predicting those. Honestly I could see 6 teams finishing undefeated (Iowa, Florida/Bama, Texas, Boise, TCU, Cincy), and I could see none of them finishing undefeated. My guess is: Iowa, Texas, Alabama & Florida will lose. BCS chaos!! Weeeeee!

I think Florida and Alabama have the best chance of losing (before playing each other), Florida in particular. They just have not looked up to speed, even against the bottom part of a top-heavy league.

I also think that Cincy will make it through until Pitt, but then lose to Pitt leaving Iowa and Texas in the championship game. The Big Ten then goes from national laughing stock to national champions. Or not.

i'm going to say iowa will lose to ohio st, bama will lose to florida, tcu will lose (probably to utah), and texas will lose this week to oklahoma st. i would say to watch out for south carolina over florida, but it's gonna be hard for the gators or bama to lose until they play each other if the refs keep helping them every game.

So do you think that would end with a Florida vs Cincinnati title game?

i think so. it's hard to say what will happen in the bcs.

USC probably needs a loss vs. Oregon for Cincy to get to the title game. Fortunately for Cincy, I think it will happen.

I know Cincy's SOS will start rising after this week. Syracuse, UConn, WVU, Illinois, then Pitt to finish the year. WVU and Pitt should both be ranked and probably each Top 15 when we play them. Pitt would be Top 10 if they won out until that last game. Too bad Miami(OH) and Illinois will destroy our non-conf SOS as they might finish with 1 win combined this year. That could ultimately keep us too low in the computers unless a little chaos happens. We need Fresno and Oregon St to keep winning. Before the season I predicted a 2 loss season for the Bearcats but they already got past the 2 I thought they would lose. I'm a little worried about WVU and Pitt could be interesting but I still think we win both if Pike comes back (already declared out for Syracuse).

Iowa's only apparently tough game left is @ Ohio St and I think they'll fall there.

Florida and Alabama both nearly got exposed this past week and I think 1 should lose soon. Florida has @ S.Carolina and Florida St (which FSU will show up?) as possible upsets. Bama could lose to LSU and possibly Auburn if their offense gets back on track. Even LSU could screw up the title picture still. 3 of their last 4 could go either way though.

If Texas gets past Oklahoma St they won't lose a game this year. Only Kansas would have a chance with their offense. Maybe Kansas St in the title game but I haven't seen that team play yet. Too hot and cold to be a threat though.

TCU's only possible challenges are @SDSU (played BYU very tough) and home against Utah.

Boise has only Idaho (????seriously????) and Nevada as remote possible losses and both are at home. They run the table. If TCU runs as well they will get left out of the BCS though. But if Oregon wins out in the Pac-10 it could get interesting how the computers handle it.

My best guess right now....
Cincy wins out (assuming Pike returns by next week's game, if not I think we lose to WVU due to him having been out too long and having to work through too much rust)
Iowa loses close at Ohio St
Texas wins out
SEC champ has 1 loss
TCU wins out
Boise wins out and gets left out

-Texas enters champ game as #1 team
-humans voters actually vote up the undefeated Big East team over 1 loss SEC team (would have happened in 07 but WVU laid an egg against Pitt, heck I think WVU already had a loss at that point)
-Iowa plays winner of Oregon-USC in Rose bowl
-TCU plays SEC champ, probably wins, MWC gets big boost towards auto-qualifying
-A new river forms from all the tears of the Boise fans from getting left out

I believe the most likely result will be an SEC vs. Big XII NC pairing, because that's what everyone wants. Since, there are many other options, besides that one, there may be a chance for a non-traditional pairing, but it would appear to hinge greatly upon teams losing games.
As far as USC goes, I personally feel they shouldn't be in the NC, due to a previous loss to Washington. That they likely will be, if they win out, implies a Pac-Ten bias, IMO.
But, I will admit, they would make for an interesting NC.

I think the fact that the humans have them at #4 is enough to say there's a USC bias, but I think we all knew that coming into every season.

However, if Oregon beats USC tonight, i think maybe Boise should go instead of Cincy. the more games Oregon wins, the better that win looks for Boise.

If they both remain undefeated, I feel confident that Cincy would get the go ahead instead of Boise St., especially since they would have just beaten a Pitt team that looks really good right now.

Reading this discussion just makes it all the more frustrating that we don't have a playoff, figuring out what will have to happen to other teams so that an undefeated team can have a shot at the national title. Pretty ridiculous. Sorry, done ranting.

Iowa sure had a close call today, they just like to keep tempting fate repeatedly. Heck of a 4th quarter team though.

Just like florida and their loss to ole miss last year and the SEC bias...
